We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to develop and drive solutions for our utility customers across the Americas, facilitating growth of the Siemens Grid Control software business. This is a remote position based in the Contiguous U.S.

You’ll make an impact as you:

  • Drive technical discussions between teams responsible for EMS (Energy Management System), ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System), DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management), NMM (Network Model Management) and MMS (Market Management System).
  • Support the Sales team by delivering software demonstrations remotely and at customer sites, articulating the value of the Grid Software portfolio and its impact to the customer’s business.
  • Communicate Grid Control software features and functionalities to support the sale of new software products/services/solutions, providing technical support for new sales, marketing activities, and continued customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a variety of technical marketing activities for the Siemens Grid Control Business.
  • Proactively seek new technologies while knowing the latest industry trends.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Experience in technical and/or electrical engineering within transmission and/or distribution operation, with expertise in power system software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or studies relevant to Energy and Power Systems required.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical information clearly and concisely to peers and customers in English.
  • Strong interpersonal and business skills with success in a team environment.

  • The salary range for this position is $77,800 - $166,700. An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
